Expedia Fires Two Executives Over Company Policy Violation
May 20, 2024 4:19 AM

07:08 AM EDT, 05/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Expedia ( EXPE ) said its Chief Technology Officer, Rathi Murthy, and Senior Vice President of Core Services Product and Engineering, Sreenivas Rachamadugu, have been dismissed due to a violation of company policy, multiple news outlets reported, citing a statement by the travel booking company.

The company did not disclose details on the matter due to confidentiality but said it is actively looking to fill the roles.

The departures appear to be unexpected, coming days after Murthy presented at Expedia's ( EXPE ) annual conference and announced the launch of the company's AI travel assistant.

Murthy and Rachamadugu both joined Expedia ( EXPE ) in 2021 from Verizon Media.
