10:26 AM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Extreme Networks ( EXTR ) said Tuesday it formed a co-innovation alliance with Intel ( INTC ) Connectivity Analytics program to improve native artificial intelligence capabilities within the Extreme AI Expert product.

The collaboration will focus on supporting customers to optimize network performance, detect security threats, personalize end-user experiences and reduce operational costs, Extreme said.

Extreme said the partnership will enhance visibility into network and client devices and drive development of generative AI tools to optimize enterprise networking and security.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Shares of Extreme were up 1.7% in recent trading.
