Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.77.

Total revenue and other income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $85.29 billion, compared with $90.02 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $86.47 billion.

Shares of the energy giant were down 1.5% in recent premarket activity.
