Exxon Mobil Reportedly Plans 59 Layoffs in Texas After Pioneer Merger
Aug 13, 2024 5:53 AM

08:23 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) is laying off 59 employees after completing its $60 billion acquisition of Pioneer Natural Resources, multiple media reports reported late Monday, citing a filing with the Texas Workforce Commission.

The layoff notifications include 39 workers from Las Colinas in Dallas, Texas, where the former Pioneer Natural Resources headquarters is located, with the rest remainder working in Big Lake and Midland, these reports said.

These workers were either offered transition roles or declined offers to join Exxon, these reports added.

Exxon did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
