Exxon Mobil Says CEO's Total Compensation Increased in 2023

11:41 AM EDT, 04/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) Chief Executive Darren Wood's total compensation in 2023 reached $36.9 million, up from $35.9 million in the prior year, the company said in a filing Thursday.

However, total direct compensation, which excludes changes in pension and all other compensation, decreased to $29.9 million from $33 million, reflecting reduced earnings and lower share price, the oil major said.

Woods' annual salary was increased to $1.969 million starting Jan. 1 from $1.875 million in 2023.
