Exxon, Suncor Reportedly Get Supreme Court Hearing on Climate-Change Lawsuis

10:27 AM EST, 02/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Supreme Court will review a Colorado Supreme Court ruling stating that the city and county of Boulder can use state law to press a lawsuit against Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) and Suncor Energy ( SU ) , multiple media outlets reported Monday.

Boulder said the oil companies misled the public about climate-change risks and contributed to the degradation of the environment by producing and promoting fossil fuels.

Exxon and Suncor didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
