F5 Names Tom Fountain as COO

10:02 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- F5 (FFIV) said Tuesday that it made a string of executive appointments, including naming former Chief Strategy Officer Tom Fountain as its new chief operating officer.

The company said it also appointed Chad Whalen, former executive vice president of worldwide sales, as chief revenue officer, and expanded Chief Technology Officer Kunal Anand's role to chief technology and AI officer.

The executive changes are effective immediately, the company said.

F5 added it has started an external search to replace Chief Product Officer Kara Sprague, who will leave the company in November to become chief executive of a private technology company.
