01:41 PM EST, 02/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) plane nearly crashed into a business jet that wasn't authorized to be on the runway on Tuesday morning at Chicago's Midway Airport, according to media reports, citing the Federal Aviation Administration.

The crew of Southwest Flight 2504 initiated a "go-around" when the unauthorized jet entered the runway, according to the reports.

The FAA and Southwest ( LUV ) did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
