FAA slowing flights into Denver over air traffic equipment issue

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The Federal Aviation

Administration is slowing flights into Denver International

Airport Thursday due to an air traffic control equipment issue.

The FAA told airlines that automation issues between an

approach control tower and Denver air traffic control are

requiring manual handoff procedures for flights causing delays

averaging 16 to 45 minutes.
