Facebook's new feature will tell users how much time they spend on the app, says report

Social media giant, Facebook, may soon introduce a feature that will show users how much time they had spent on site, reported Tech Crunch.

According to the report, the feature is hidden in the new android app of Facebook. The unreleased feature called “Your Time on Facebook” will show the users how much time they had spent on Facebook app for the last seven days, the report said.

Besides that, it will also show the average time spent daily by users on the app.

Additionally, the report says the app will allow users to set a limit for the time that will be spent on the site. The app, reportedly will automatically sent out a reminder when the user reaches his daily limit.

“We’re always working on new ways to help make sure people’s time on Facebook is time well spent,” the company spokesperson was quoted saying while confirming the report.

The development is significant as it comes at a time when the social media giant is trying to reinvent itself following allegations that had it hits credibility.
