11:26 AM EST, 11/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fairfax Financial Holdings ( FRFHF ) (FFH.TO, FFH-U.TO) on Friday said it completed an offering of $450 million of 4.73% senior notes due 2034 and $250 million in 5.23% senior notes due 2054, for $700 million in total.

Proceeds will be used to redeem preferred shares. Fairfax has not yet decided on the specific series of shares. Any proceeds not used to redeem the shares will be used for general corporate purposes.

Fairfax shares were last seen up $3.72 to $1,962.95 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
