06:03 PM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nigel Farage, leader of Britain's Reform UK party, won re-election to parliament in a byelection he triggered by stepping down last month amid controversy over his finances, multiple outlets reported Friday.
Farage faces a parliamentary investigation over failure to declare a 5 million Pounds ($6.7 million) donation from a Thailand-based crypto investor ahead of his 2024 election, according to the reports.
The probe, suspended following his July 7 resignation, was relisted as active Friday after the election result, the reports said, adding that Farage has said the donation was personal and intended to cover security costs.
