08:39 AM EST, 12/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fastenal ( FAST ) said Monday its board has appointed Jeffery Watts as chief executive officer, effective July 16, 2026.

Watts currently serves as president and chief sales officer and succeeds Daniel Florness, the company said.

Florness will step down as CEO and intends to resign as a board member on the same date and will remain with the company as a strategic advisor until early 2028 to support the transition, Fastenal ( FAST ) said.

Watts joined Fastenal ( FAST ) in 1996 and assumed the role of president in August 2024 as part of the company's leadership transition plan.

Shares of Fastenal ( FAST ) were down 0.4% in Monday premarket activity.
