07:29 AM EDT, 04/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fastenal ( FAST ) reported Q1 net income Thursday of $0.52 per diluted share, unchanged from a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.53.

Net sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $1.90 billion, up from $1.86 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.91 billion.

Shares of the company were down by more than 5% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
