Fed approves Huntington Bancshares acquisition of Veritex

WASHINGTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve

announced Friday it had approved the acquisition of Veritex

Holdings, Inc., by Huntington Bancshares ( HBAN ), clearing the way for

the $1.9 billion all-stock deal announced in July.
