02:39 PM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A federal judge denied a motion for preliminary injunction against Meta Platforms ( META ) requested by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over alleged censorship on the company's platforms.
Kennedy had alleged the company violated his First Amendment rights by conspiring with the federal government to censor content supportive of his presidential campaign and sought an injunction to stop the alleged censorship.
But Judge William H. Orrick of the US District Court for the Northern District of California denied Kennedy's request on grounds the plaintiff failed to demonstrate a likelihood of success on their claims.
Meta and Kennedy's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
Bloomberg reported the story earlier.
