Federal Signal Enters Deal to Acquire New Way Trucks

03:53 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Federal Signal ( FSS ) said late Wednesday it has agreed to acquire Scranton Manufacturing Company, a maker of refuse collection vehicles doing business as New Way Trucks.

The initial price for the deal is $396 million, with additional consideration of $30 million for manufacturing assets and associated real estate rights, and up to $54 million in contingency payments based on certain financial targets.

Closing of the deal is expected in Q4, subject to regulatory approval.

Federal Signal ( FSS ) expects the deal to generate $15 million to $20 million in annual run-rate synergies, expected to be substantially realized by year-end 2028, and be accretive to earnings per share after 2026.
