Federal Signal Shares Fall After Lower-Than-Expected Q3 Net Sales

09:55 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Federal Signal ( FSS ) shares fell nearly 3% in recent Thursday trading after the company posted lower-than-expected Q3 net sales.

The company reported Q3 adjusted earnings of $0.88 per diluted share, up from $0.71 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.84.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $474.2 million, up from $446.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $481.7 million.

Federal Signal ( FSS ) said it now expects fiscal 2024 adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $3.30 to $3.40, up from its prior range of $3.20 to $3.35. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $3.27.

Net sales for the year are now projected to be between $1.86 billion and $1.88 billion, compared with its prior range of $1.85 billion to $1.90 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $1.88 billion.
