04:52 AM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FedEx ( FDX ) has opened a main hub in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and intends to operate 24 cargo flights a month via King Khalid International Airport.
The company has received a license from Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation to operate as a foreign air carrier and conduct scheduled air cargo transport activities, the authority said Monday.
FedEx ( FDX ) will start operating direct flights to and from Riyadh, effective Tuesday, followed by the launch of transit-based air and ground transport operations to other Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the wider region.
The company didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
