11:15 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fennec Pharmaceuticals ( FENC ) said Monday it has appointed Jeffrey S. Hackman as chief executive, effective on or about Aug. 16, succeeding Rosty Raykov, who will remain a board member.

Hackman has more than 30 years of commercial leadership experience, including oversight of more than 10 product launches, the company said.

Fennec shares were down nearly 4% in recent trading amid a weak broader market.
