Ferromex to resume issuing ag rail permits for Eagle Pass, El Paso

CHICAGO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Mexican rail consortium

Ferromex will resume issuing permits on October 21 for

agricultural rail trains headed to gateways in Eagle Pass and El

Paso, Texas, rail company Union Pacific Corp ( UNP ) said on its website

Thursday.

Ferromex and Union Pacific ( UNP ) temporarily halted issuing

permits for some grain rail shipments after a recent train

derailment in Mexico closed the track.
