10:23 AM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- FibroBiologics ( FBLG ) said Thursday it filed a patent application with the US Patent Office for the use of fibroblast cell-based technology to generate three-dimensional hemopoietic organoids that can create immune cells.
The patent covers methods of generating three-dimensional organoids with the capability of creating hematopoietic cells, including precursors and/or immune cells, according to the company.
Hematopoietic cells include T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, platelets, red blood cells, myeloid-derived suppressor cells, mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, dendritic cells and CAR-T cells, FibroBiologics ( FBLG ) said.
Shares of the company were down more than 14% in recent trading.
