10:14 AM EDT, 08/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- FibroBiologics ( FBLG ) said Tuesday it has filed a patent application with the US Patent Office covering the use of fibroblast cell-based technology in adhesive bandages for wound healing.

"This patent, if issued, will allow us to pursue development of a room-temperature, shelf stable bandage that could be used in the post-surgical and retail setting," said Chief Executive Pete O'Heeron.

The stock was up more than 1% in recent trading.
