10:16 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- FibroBiologics ( FBLG ) said Thursday it is set to join Russell 2000 Index when the market opens July 1, citing a preliminary list of additions posted on May 24.

The company's potential inclusion in the Russell Index will boost its profile in the investment world, raise its stock's liquidity and expand its shareholder base, Chief Executive Pete O'Heeron said in a statement.

Shares of FibroBiologics ( FBLG ) were up 5.1% in recent Thursday trading.
