ROME (Reuters) - An order by Norwegian Line Holdings with Italy's Fincantieri for four new cruise ships is worth around 9 billion euros ($9.34 billion), a source close to the matter said on Wednesday.
The source added it is the single largest order ever signed by the Italian shipbuilder.
"The value of this agreement, subject to financing and other typical terms and conditions, is considered very important," Fincantieri said in a statement.
The ships - around 226,000 tonnes each - will be built at the company's Monfalcone shipyard, in north-eastern Italy, and the first unit will be delivered in 2030, it added.
