Firan Technology Group Wins C$17 Million Contract to Supply Cockpit Interface Assemblies for COMAC's C919 Aircraft

04:51 PM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Firan Technology Group ( FTGFF ) ) after trade Wednesday said it won a C$17-million contract to supply cutting-edge cockpit interface assemblies for the display suite on the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China's (COMAC) C919 aircraft.

The company said the contract runs from the second half of 2024 through to the third quarter of 2026. The contract to FTG comes from the Shanghai Avionics Company.

FTG's manufacturing facilities in Toronto and Tianjin, China, will be used to produce the assemblies. Production will start in Toronto and transition to Tianjin during the contract period.

"Securing this contract is a significant milestone for FTG. We are proud to have successfully completed the rigorous development and certification process of our products, to contribute to the success of COMAC's C919 single aisle aircraft, and to growing our Tianjin operations," Peter Dimopoulos, FTG's vice president of business development, said in a release.

FTG shares closed up $0.08, or 1.55% at $5.25 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
