03:31 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Firefly Aerospace ( FLY ) said Sunday it has agreed to acquire security technologies firm SciTec for $855 million, consisting of $300 million in cash and $555 million in Firefly stock priced at $50 per share.

SciTec had about $164 million in revenue for the 12-month period ended June 30, Firefly said.

The company expects the deal to enhance its capabilities in supporting defense missions.

The closing of the deal is expected by year-end 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.

Firefly shares gained more than 10% in premarket activity Monday.
