06:32 AM EDT, 10/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FireFly Metals ( MNXMF ) Monday released drilling results that point to a high-grade mineralized core over a strike length of at least 800 meters at the Green Bay copper-gold project in Canada, described by the company as a "major exploration breakthrough."
Highlights of the results include 43 m at 7.6% copper equivalent and 15 m at 16% copper equivalent. The vast majority of the core, which remains open, sits outside the current mineral resource.
Drilling suggests the core occurs where the Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide and Footwall Zone (FWZ) style mineralization converge, the company said.
A strong conductive Downhole Electromagnetics anomaly extends a further 350 m beyond the furthest step-out drill hole and points to the potential for future down-plunge extensions.
The results highlight the potential for an increase in both the measured and indicated and inferred mineral resource categories as part of the mineral resource estimate update planned for the fourth quarter.
The higher-confidence M&I categories are expected to underpin the economic studies into upscaled production at Green Bay.
