07:20 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fireweed Metals ( FWEDF ) late Tuesday reported results of the first drill holes from the Tom deposit that intersected zinc-lead-silver mineralization as part of the 2025 drill campaign at the Macpass project in Yukon, Canada.
A major 115-meter step-out down-dip at Tom South extended the zone of high-grade sulfide mineralization, the company said.
Highlights of the results include 30 meters true width of 33.23% zinc equivalent from 891.6 meters downhole, including 22 meters true width of 41.69% zinc equivalent, including 7 meters true width of 59.6% zinc equivalent and 3.9 meters true width of 47.33% zinc equivalent.
Significant concentrations of other critical minerals, including germanium and gallium, occur with the zinc mineralization.
"The impressive width and grade of the intersection at Tom South demonstrates that the zone thickens and remains open down-dip, positioning this hole amongst the most significant in the project's history," said Fireweed president and chief executive Ian Gibbs.
Fireweed fell 3% from near 52-week highs on the TSXV Tuesday.
