09:04 AM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fireweed Metals ( FWEDF ) on Friday said Peter Hemstead, a company director, has been appointed interim president and chief executive, replacing Brandon Macdonald.

The company has also appointed Adam Lundin as strategic advisor, and Paul Harbidge as an independent director. Jamie Beck will be nominated for election to the board at the upcoming annual general meeting of shareholders.

Lundin was previously president and CEO of Josemaria Resources. He is currently on the board of Lucara Diamond (LUC.TO), NGEx Minerals (NGEX.TO), and the Lundin Foundation Harbidge is President and CEO of Faraday Copper (FDY.TO) while Jamie Beck is CEO of Filo (FIL.TO).
