First Atlantic Nickel Expands RPM Zone at Pipestone XL Nickel Alloy Project
Oct 21, 2025 6:44 AM

09:19 AM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Atlantic Nickel ( FANCF ) , which rose 7% yesterday, on Tuesday said it has expanded the RPM Zone target area of the Pipestone XL nickel alloy project in central Newfoundland to a continuous 4-kilometer strike length within the 30-km nickel trend.

A statement noted the results extend the known mineralization footprint about 2 km north of the previously defined 2-km drill-defined RPM Zone. The newly identified northern extension has been designated Exploration Priority 1.

The surface sampling program has returned consistent, positive magnetically recoverable Davis Tube Recoverable nickel values over a larger area than previously outlined. DTR surface sample results from the northern extension are comparable to those from the initial RPM discovery area.

Integration of surface sampling, improved geological mapping and drilling has also refined the geological model and identified a westward-dipping body of awaruite nickel mineralization.

As a result, future drilling at the Pipestone XL project will target eastward to cross the true width of the mineralized zone. This approach will be applied across the project, including at the RPM Zone extension and the Super Gulp Zone.
