04:05 AM EDT, 08/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Financial Bancorp ( FFBC ) will acquire BankFinancial ( BFIN ) in an all-stock transaction valued at about $142 million, the companies said Monday.

Under the deal, each BankFinancial ( BFIN ) common share will be converted into the right to receive 0.48 of a share of First Financial.

The companies said the deal, expected to close in Q4, will expand First Financial's footprint in the Chicago market and be accretive to First Financial's earnings per share.
