First Mining Gold Plans 18,000 Meters of Drilling in 2025 at Duparquet Gold Project in Quebec

08:26 AM EST, 03/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Mining Gold ( FFMGF ) said Wednesday that it plans to complete 18,000 meters of exploration drilling this year at the Duparquet gold project in Quebec.

The company said this will be its largest exploration drill program since acquiring full project ownership in 2022.

First Mining said the campaign will focus on advancing priority targets that are aligned to resource growth potential.

"We are keen to further advance upon a number of significant exploration opportunities at Duparquet and are extremely excited about potential new catalysts for growth for this important project located in the heart of the Abitibi gold region," CEO Dan Wilton said.

The company plans to mobilize the initial drill rig during the first week of March, and aims to bring on a second drill rig in the second quarter.

First Mining's share price rose 4.2% on Tuesday to $0.125 on the TSX.

Reliance Infrastructure-led BSES is slated to become one of the "greenest" power distribution companies in the country by increasing the share of renewable energy in its portfolio to over 50 percent by 2024, power sector experts said on Tuesday.
