First Nordic Metals Appoints Gernot Wober As Exploration Vice President

11:21 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Nordic Metals ( FNMCF ) on Tuesday said it appointed Gernot Wober as vice president, exploration.

Wober most recently served as vice president, exploration at Discovery Silver (DSV.TO) where he played a key role in identifying and acquiring the Cordero silver deposit in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was also involved in the due diligence and compilation of the first consolidated technical report for Discovery's acquisition of Newmont's (NGT.TO) Porcupine Complex.

"His deep understanding of orogenic gold systems, paired with a proven track record of leading major projects, aligns perfectly with our goal to unlock the full potential of the Gold Line belt and our broader Nordic portfolio," chief executive Taj Singh said in a release.

The company's shares were last seen down $0.01 to $0.39 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
