First Quantum Minerals Launches US$750 Million Senior Notes Offering

11:18 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Quantum Minerals ( FQVLF ) on Wednesday said it launched an offering of US$750 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes.

The company said the notes will be senior unsecured obligations and will be guaranteed by certain of its units.

Interest on the notes will accrue from the issue date and will be payable semi-annually. The interest rate and offering price of the notes and certain other terms will be determined at the time of pricing of the offering, subject to conditions.

First Quantum intends to apply the proceeds, together with cash on balance sheet, to fund the concurrent tender offer for its existing 6.875% senior notes due 2027 and to pay related fees, costs and expenses.

Shares of the company were last seen down $0.40 to $22.94 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
