First Solar, 5N Plus Renew, Expand Semiconductor Supply Agreement

08:44 AM EDT, 06/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- First Solar ( FSLR ) has renewed and expanded its supply agreement with 5N Plus to increase the supply of cadmium telluride semiconductor materials from 5N Plus by 50% over the next two years, 5N Plus said Tuesday.

The semiconductor producer said First Solar ( FSLR ) uses its product to manufacture thin-film photovoltaic solar modules.

The agreement also calls for the companies to continue working together on the development and supply of other renewable energy products to support cadmium telluride thin-film technology, 5N Plus said.
