First Solar Q2 Earnings Fall, Net Sales Rise; 2025 Outlook Updated

04:27 PM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Solar ( FSLR ) reported Q2 earnings late Thursday of $3.18 per diluted share, down from $3.25 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.66.

Net sales for the quarter that ended June 30 was $1.10 billion, up from $1.01 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.04 billion.

The company said it now expects 2025 diluted EPS outlook to between $13.50 and $16.50 compared with $12.50 and $17.50 previously. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $14.88.

First Solar ( FSLR ) also expects 2025 net sales between $4.9 billion and $5.7 billion, up from previous guidance of $4.5 billion to $5.5 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $5.06 billion.

Shares of First Solar ( FSLR ) were up more than 4% in after-hours activity.
