09:46 AM EDT, 07/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Solar ( FSLR ) has entered into a quantum dot supply agreement with UbiQD, paving the way for the incorporation of the technology into First Solar's ( FSLR ) thin film bifacial photovoltaic solar panels, UbiQD said Wednesday.

UbiQD said it will supply fluorescent quantum dot technology to First Solar ( FSLR ) under their exclusive, multiyear agreement, which is expected to allow early adoption of the technology in thin film modules.

The companies also expanded their photovoltaic research and development collaboration on utility-scale solar performance optimization.
