FirstEnergy Unit Launches Exchange Offer for 2030, 2035 Senior Notes

10:52 AM EST, 12/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- FirstEnergy ( FE ) unit FirstEnergy Transmission said Monday it has commenced an offer to exchange up to $400 million of its 4.550% senior notes due 2030 and up to $400 million of 5% senior notes due 2035 for equal amounts of new notes.

Holders have until Jan. 24 to accept the offer, unless extended, the company said.

The debt swap is intended to fulfill the company's contractual obligations and does not represent a new financing transaction, it said.
