09:13 AM EST, 12/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fiserv ( FI ) said Thursday its Chairman, President and Chief Executive Frank Bisignano has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump as the commissioner of the Social Security Administration.

His appointment is subject to confirmation by the US Senate, and he will stay in his positions with Fiserv ( FI ) until confirmation happens, the company said.

Fiserv ( FI ) shares were falling nearly 6% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
