Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.26.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $5.22 billion, compared with $4.87 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $4.91 billion.

The company said it now expects full-year adjusted EPS of $8.73 to $8.80, from $8.65 to $8.80 previously, and revenue growth of 7.5% to 8.5%, from the previous range of 6.5% to 8.5%. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $8.75 in adjusted EPS on revenue of $19.2 billion.
