Flipkart looking to list overseas or in India by next year
Dec 7, 2020 4:58 AM

Flipkart is exploring options to list either in India or overseas. Sources suggest the Walmart owned company is exploring all options.

Walmart parent company of Flipkart is looking at value unlocking at this particular time. They are exploring all options whether it is a global listing or Indian listing.

They are looking at probably USD 35-40 billion of overall valuation for the company for the Indian business and that will depend on the kind of feedback they receive from the investors.

Walmart which has a substantial stake along with some of the investors would definitely want to part exit, and on the other hand USD 1 billion or so is what Flipkart is looking at raising from their own cash requirement as well.

CNBC-TV18’s Nisha Poddar gets more details.
