04:40 PM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fluor (FLR) said Friday its mining and metals division secured a joint venture contract with Hatch to provide engineering, procurement and construction management services for BHP Group's (BHP) planned Olympic Dam smelter and refinery expansion project in South Australia.

Fluor said it will recognize its undisclosed portion of the contract value in Q4 2024.

The contract will be done in phases as BHP moves toward a final investment decision on the project, which is expected in H1 2027, Fluor said.
