Fly to London from Bengaluru non-stop for Rs 15,900 in Air India

State-owned Air India on Friday announced a special one-way fare of Rs 15,900 for its direct flights to London from Bengaluru.

The two-way ticket fare starts from Rs 35,600 and is valid for sale and travel till the end of this month.

Air India has been flying to London three-times-a-week flight directly from Bengaluru since November 16.

Air India's Boeing 787 (Dreamliner) from Bengaluru leaves at 05:25 AM on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. In its return journey, the flight leave from London at 01:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Air India's flagship fuel-saving aircraft, Dreamliner, promises healthier air and lower cabin altitude. The aircraft accommodates 238 economy passengers and 18 business class passengers.

The fleet size of Air India increased from April 2017 to April 2018 from 103 to 122 but the market share has remained stagnant. The domestic market share is still at 13 percent but the international market share dipped by almost 2 percent.

The airline has also announced the launch of direct flights from Kolkata to Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar and Raipur, effective December 8, under the UDAN scheme or the Regional Connectivity Scheme, initiated by the government.
