Focusing on moving back to growth; expect FY22 to be stronger: Titan
Feb 12, 2021 3:21 AM

Titan Company recorded a strong 28 percent growth in the jewellery business in the month of January, while the watches and eyewear segment also did well, said the company’s top official.

Titan’s December quarter earnings were in line with street estimates with a strong management commentary, but brokerages flagged valuations concerns as the key headwind for further growth.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, S Subramaniam, CFO, Titan Company said that the company was now focusing on getting back to growth and expects FY22 to be stronger.

“At this point, we are interested in getting back to growth and growth in a big way. We do expect FY22 to be a strong year for various reasons. There is a huge pent-up demand expected, some of that has happened possibly in Q3 and Q4, but I would assume that most of it will actually happen in FY22,” Subramaniam said.

The company does not intend to list CaratLane separately.

He said that the store walk-ins had increased substantially which was a good sign.
