Fomento Economico Mexicano Names New Chief Executive

04:14 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fomento Economico Mexicano (FMX) said late Wednesday it has named Jose Antonio Fernandez Garza-Laguera as chief executive, effective Nov. 1.

Garza-Laguera serves as CEO of FEMSA Proximity & Health.

Upon his appointment, interim CEO Jose Antonio Fernandez Carbajal will continue in his role as executive chairman, Fomento Economico Mexicano said.
