Fomento Economico Mexicano's Q1 Net Income Falls, Revenue Rises

09:51 AM EDT, 04/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fomento Economico Mexicano (FMX), or FEMSA, reported Q1 net income Friday of 5.88 billion Mexican pesos ($340 million), down from 50.33 billion pesos a year earlier.

Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expected 8.21 billion pesos.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was 178.20 billion pesos, up from 160.11 billion pesos a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected 181.30 billion pesos.

Shares of the company were up 0.3% in recent Friday trading.
