08:18 AM EST, 02/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Foran Mining ( FMCXF ) reported Thursday the initial results from its 2025 winter drill program at the McIlvenna Bay project in Saskatchewan.
The company said the results confirmed a significant down plunge expansion of the McIlvenna Bay deposit at depth. Highlights include 8 meters at 3.00% copper equivalent and 33 meters grading 1.39% copper equivalent.
"The first hole of Foran's winter drilling season has not only expanded the Bridge Zone mineralization, but also confirmed that McIlvenna Bay extends beyond the limits of its current resource shells," said Erin Carswell, Foran's vice president of exploration. "Obtaining such a thick, copper-rich intersection of massive and semi-massive sulphides 200m down plunge is highly suggestive that mineralization continues and may strengthen at depth."
Foran said its drill campaign covers 30,000 meters with eight drill rigs.
