07:11 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Foran Mining ( FMCXF ) on Monday said it has successfully energized the dedicated power transmission line connecting its McIlvenna Bay project in Saskatchewan to the electrical grid near Saskatchewan Power's Island Falls Hydroelectric Generating Station.
The 85-kilometer, 110-kilovolt transmission line was completed ahead of schedule and on budget, constructed in partnership with provincial electric utility SaskPower.
The transmission line is expected to provide secure, reliable and sustainable power to support commissioning of the processing plant, underground operations and site infrastructure as the project advances toward production.
The line is designed with additional line load capacity, supporting potential future mine expansions and broader development across the company's district.
