06:53 AM EDT, 03/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Foran Mining ( FMCXF ) Thursday provided a February construction update on its McIlvenna Bay project in Saskatchewan, with project completion currently at about 91%.
The project is on schedule for commercial production in mid-2026 and is proceeding within budget. It has also entered cold commissioning on schedule.
Key surface construction milestones include completion of various tank installations, process plant grading, and secondary steel and tank components for flotation infrastructure.
As previously announced, Foran has energized the 85 kilometer, 110-kilovolt transmission line providing secure and reliable power to the project.
About 35,000 tonnes were added to the surface ore stockpile in February, bringing the total to about 271,000 tonnes at month-end. The company aims to reach 272,000 tonnes ahead of plant start-up.
"We are now in the final stages of operational readiness as we prepare to introduce first ore to the mill, a milestone strategically timed with the recent energization of our renewable hydropower line," said Dan Myerson, executive chairman and chief executive of Foran.
